Online Application Update (DAF-II): 11 to 25 November

This is the most important step after the result. Every qualified candidate must log in at upsconline.nic.in and update the online application. Many aspirants call this form DAF-II. The window is open from 11 November 2026 to 25 November 2026, till 6:00 PM.

What You Must Update

  • Proof of passing the qualifying degree, if you had applied as “appearing”. Without it, your candidature will be cancelled.
  • Postal address, higher education, achievements and employment details.
  • Service allocated in an earlier CSE, if any.
  • Marital status, parental details and earlier exam or attempt details.
  • OBC or EWS annexure and the socio-economic questionnaire, where applicable.
  • Order of preference for services and home cadre.
  • Consent for the Pratibha Setu portal.

Even if you have nothing to change, you must still log in and submit the form. After a successful submission, you will receive a unique reference number by email or SMS. Moreover, UPSC will not issue an e-Summon Letter to anyone who skips this step.

Documents Required for the UPSC Interview

Bring original certificates to the Personality Test. The official notice lists the following:

  • Proof of age (date of birth).
  • Educational qualification certificates.
  • Community certificate (SC/ST/OBC), if claimed.
  • EWS certificate, if claimed.
  • PwBD certificate, if claimed.
  • Other documents such as the TA (travelling allowance) form.

Certificates for reservation or age relaxation must be issued on or before 27 February 2026. That was the closing date of the CSE 2026 application.

e-Summon Letter and Interview Venue

UPSC will not send paper summon letters. Instead, qualified candidates can download the e-Summon Letter from upsc.gov.in or upsconline.nic.in once it is released. All interviews take place at the UPSC office, Dholpur House, Shahjahan Road, New Delhi-110069.

Requests to change the interview date or time are ordinarily not entertained. If you cannot download your e-Summon Letter, contact the Commission at once. The phone numbers are 011-40303444 and 011-24041001, and the email is csm-upsc@nic.in.

DoP&T Attestation Form

Candidates must also fill the Attestation Form online on the DoP&T portal, cseplus.dopt.gov.in. This window runs from the start to the end of the Personality Tests. For queries, DoP&T can be reached at 011-24010454 or 011-24010413.

What Happens After the Interview?

UPSC will prepare the final merit list using Mains and interview marks. After the final result, mark sheets will go live on the UPSC website within 15 days. They will stay online for 30 days. Meanwhile, candidates who did not qualify can start preparing for the next cycle. Our upcoming government exams calendar and the CDS 2 Result 2026 page cover other UPSC updates.
