How Ties Were Broken
When two candidates had equal marks, SSC used this order:
- Marks in Paper-II (for JSO and SI Grade II).
- Marks in Section-I of Paper-I.
- Older date of birth ranked higher.
- Alphabetical order of names.
Minimum Qualifying Marks
To appear in the SSC CGL 2025 Final Result, candidates first had to clear the sectional minimums in Tier-II. As per the FRTA notice, the minimum is 30% for UR, 25% for OBC and EWS, and 20% for all other categories. This applied to Section-I, Section-II and Section-III (Computer Knowledge Test) of Paper-I and to Paper-II.
For posts that need the Computer Proficiency Test, the CKT cut-off out of 60 was 24 for UR, 21 for OBC and EWS, and 18 for most other categories. The Data Entry Speed Test also had error limits by category.
Selection Process Followed
Before the SSC CGL 2025 Final Result, the cycle moved through these official stages:
- Tier-I: computer-based screening test.
- Tier-II: computer-based main exam, including CKT and DEST where required.
- FRTA: first allocation based on merit and the post preferences filled online.
- Sliding and identity verification: candidates had to attend physically. Those who did not attend were treated as absent.
- Final result: fresh ranks that replace the FRTA ranks.
Some allocations remain subject to the outcome of WP (C) No. 1733/2026, as noted in the official result.
